Good Good Friday
The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it in His head.
Today the kids and I came across loads and loads of tumble weeds. They were thrilled looking at them and quickly decided they wanted to build a “club house” out of them. The thorns scratched their arms, their legs, and they sat every few minutes to pull thorns out of their skin. I watched and winced. I wanted to tell them to stop so they wouldn’t get hurt. Instead I closed my eyes and was able, for one minute, to sit back and try to fathom the love God has for each of us. Just how great His love is that He was able to let His son suffer. To die. For us. I can’t fathom that kind of love but am so humbled and ultimately so unworthy. Wishing you a moment of reflection today.
